Nearly 200 insurance professionals gathered in Miami on November 20-21, 2025, for Axco Americas - a dynamic two-day conference hosted by Axco Insurance Information. The event buzzed with energy as leading carriers, brokers, and corporate risk managers connected, shared insights and experience and explored some of the most pressing challenges in multinational insurance.
The conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including senior leaders from Zurich, Chubb, Gallagher, Marsh, Lloyd’s, and many more. Sessions explored the complexities of global program design, compliance, and operational efficiency, while fostering collaboration among industry experts.
The discussions at Axco Americas 2025 captured the complexity and dynamism of today’s multinational insurance landscape. A major theme was strategic and operational leadership, with participants exploring how the role of the multinational risk manager is evolving. From the client’s perspective, the spotlight was on proving enterprise-wide value and driving efficiency across processes, while brokers and carriers shared fresh strategies for building resilient programs that deliver measurable impact.
Another critical topic was global claims complexity, particularly the rising influence of social inflation and litigation funding. Once concentrated in the United States, these trends are now spreading internationally, making cross-jurisdictional coordination essential for achieving better outcomes. Attendees exchanged practical approaches to managing these risks and ensuring consistency across global programs.
Compliance and regulatory alignment also took centre stage. As the insurance industry adopts banking-style practices such as KYC, AML, and sanction screening, speakers highlighted the importance of embedding these processes without creating friction. Reducing delays in onboarding and local policy insurance emerged as a key priority for improving client experience.
Delivering seamless global programs requires integration across property and casualty, financial lines, accident and health, and other operational teams. Collaboration was a recurring theme, with sessions showcasing successful models for breaking down silos and driving alignment.
Technology was everywhere in the conversation. AI, automation, and advanced analytics are no longer theoretical – they’re shaping programme delivery today. Presenters shared real-world examples of how these technologies are being deployed to enhance decision-making and streamline operations. While technology offers significant benefits, speakers stressed the importance of maintaining trust and expert judgement – human expertise remains essential.
Regional market and legal intelligence underscored the value of local knowledge in global program execution. Understanding jurisdiction-specific nuances remains critical for reducing friction and elevating client confidence, reinforcing the need for strong partnerships and knowledge-sharing across regions.
Mark Trumper, Managing Director at Axco, reflected on the evolution and impact of Axco Americas since its launch in 2024,
“It was a pleasure to see the industry embrace this initiative from the start,” he noted, emphasizing how the feedback from clients helped shape the conference into an even stronger platform in 2025.
Trumper highlighted the depth and breadth of expertise on display, with sessions that leveraged the collective wisdom of industry leaders to tackle complex challenges. From designing robust global insurance programs to navigating macroeconomic and geopolitical headwinds, the discussions underscored the intricacies of operating across borders. He observed that the tone of conversations around technology had shifted significantly since last year. In 2024, AI was largely discussed in terms of potential risks and hypothetical benefits. In 2025, however, the dialogue centred on real-world deployments and tangible outcomes.
His most rewarding aspect was seeing so many familiar faces return alongside new participants, all eager to exchange and collaborate. “It was inspiring to witness some of the brightest minds in our industry come together, not only to share insights, but to build relationships that will drive innovation forward,”.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees praised the event as insightful, well-organised, and invaluable for shared learning and networking. Roundtables, the FINC workshop, and practical AI sessions were repeatedly highlighted as standout elements. Many praised the event for “offering insightful sessions and fantastic networking opportunities” and for its “focus on shared learning and collaboration”, which fostered actionable ideas and diverse perspectives. Others noted that the conference “was educational and exceeded expectations”, with one attendee likening the experience to “a symphony of seasoned professionals sharing deeply relevant information.” Feedback emphasised the value of client-perspective panels, real-world case studies, and discussions on emerging technologies, all of which translated complex topics into practical takeaways.
