Life Insurance

Ministry of Finance Notification No 0338 issued on 31 March 2020 announced certain measures regarding COVID-19. It deferred the deadline for submission by insurers of their annual 2019 financial reports and associated reporting requirements until 30 April 2020. The Insurance Law (Amended) No 78/NA came into effect on 15 April 2020, updating and replacing the Insurance Law (Amended) No 06/NA dated 21 December 2011. The law clarified that life insurance policies may be participating, non-participating or with investment. Products which can be provided by life insurers include annuities.
